So I really liked the movie, but I was really confused about the name, because that was definitely not a "war of the worlds". It was not a "war" of any kind. The term "war" indicates that both sides fight against each other. The only character who actually tried to fight back was Tim Robbins, and Tom Cruise wouldn't even let him. I just think they called it "War Of The Worlds" because it sounded better than "Tim Robbins Vs. The Aliens".
